Removal of iron and manganese

Removing iron from groundwater and drilling resources requires the knowledge of both the chemical reactions and the methods of designing systems to ensure their effective operation. Non-aerated groundwater usually contains dissolved iron salts. Introduction of oxygen or air into water causes oxidation and precipitation of iron. When appropriate filter systems are used, iron and manganese can be removed to ensure the required parameters.
